80 is about as many chicken as I want. 160+ is exhausting.

Lol I bet so. I don't really ever have anything to do, so sitting and taking care of chickens would be an awesome time waster. My parents don't want me to have more then the 10 I have now. I would be happy if they would just let me have 20. The only way to do that is to let my silkie go broody and buy her some fertile eggs. My parents are down for that idea lol!

Lol. Good luck then. That's how I started my duck flock, then I made a bator and more than tripled my flock. (Starting number was ten (well we bought 20 but I culled half of those as there were quite a few drakes.) and now I have over 50 e But I'm gonna be culling down to about twenty five. I've almost made up my mind to sell all my young crested females since most of my drakes are crested.
