I got two eggs from my chickens today! I've only got 7. One is a rooster and several are still pretty young (hatched last fall) but I'm really hoping they pick up a little. Also I caught the turkeys breeding so I think they are going to start laying soon. Now if only the ducks would start and some of my hens (of any type) would set. The quail are still only giving like 5-6 per week.
I've got a really nice Hovabator with an auto turner and also several cochin and/or bantam hens so I'm hoping to have our place OVERRUN with little un's!
I might try and get some hatching eggs if my hens don't pick up...

So, at our house if a potato chip is folded/curled over then it's an 'I love you chip'. You give it to someone you love and then they say thanx and eat it. For some reason that became a tradition 'round here. Anyway, today was a very memorable day. In one hand full of chips I got 2 triple folders (I love you chip folded 3 times making an 'N' shape if you look at it right) and one double folder! After much contemplation I eventually resisted the urge to smash them down my throat and gave them to one of my siblings... BIG DEAL... no one has ever done that before! I am the first 'double trifold, single bifold, ultra awesome, chip picker!
Also at one point when I stood up from the table to get a drink of water my sister put two sweet potatoes, a jar of rubber cement, and a few other random objects on my plate ALMOST smashing my poor little chip pile! Thankfully the chips were safe! I reached for the napkin basket and we found a tortilla chewed into the shape of a heart UNDER THE NAPKIN BASKET! It was old, dry, and stale.
1. Why in the shape of a heart?
2. Why under the napkin basket?
3. How did nobody notice this before? I mean, for all we know that tortilla could be from the middle ages!
4. What do we do with it? Send it to National Geographic as a famous historical artifact? Ship it to the Smithsonian Museum? (in the end my sister put on some Peanut Butter and ate it :/ )
5. Why us? Did some weirdo sneak into our house just to put a tortilla under the napkin basket? I doubt it...but nobody in the family says they did it...pretty suspicious if you ask me...
Also, my (current) favorite song was on...so...HUGE EVENING! So, tell me, what amazing experience did you have for super supper tonight? Any pink elephants show up? Or maybe you met the great, one eyed, pink mustached, strawberry of doom? Who knows what could be waiting in your next meal...
Quote: Haha, not for certain but I saw one of my younger brothers carrying around a tortilla later that day so I think it was him. XD
lol thanks!
