I have Swedes, skittish but good layers, kinda small for eating though.

Magpies are pretty.

Hm, good to know.

Yeah, I mainly want them for layers, so magpies and Campbells are my top two picks.

BUT since were SOOOO close to having 40 chickens again.... Ducks probably won't happen for awhile yet

Well Swedes will do well then. Haven't any experience with magpies or campbells. My pekins are EXCELLENT layers too, I haven't had one take a day off in over three months. I'm thinking my crosses should lay pretty darn well.

And from what I can see it's either a very yellow mix or pure Pekin.

Since silkies are one of the best broody breeds, there is a HUGE chance that shell go broody before she hits 1 year.
DONT GIVE HER EGGS TIL SHE PASSES 1 YEAR.
They suck at motherhood when they're that young

Ok awesome! Thanks for letting me know! In about 3 or 4 months I can fire her some then.
