So after taking our loses I have finally gotten a count on the layers. There are 84 of them. Plus the 106 Red Rangers puts us at a staggering 190 chicks.



Also I'm just gonna call it and say this is a Sussex rooster. 3 weeks old.

:hu Like twenty I think. 6 EEs, 2 RIRs 9 Sussex or leghorns, can't tell them apart. 1 BSL and 1 Australorp. I think that's all.


Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's not a leghorn pullet.

Also only really see 2 boyish looking Wyandottes (let's hope it stays at two to three, then I have ten to nine hens. :fl) and only three of the Wyandottes have single combs.


Oh nice. Will you keep the single combs or eat them? Cuz I know that with breeds like Rosecomb bantams, breeders will sometimes keep those sports to improve the gene pool. Those chicks are really fussy from what I've heard.
