Troyergals Chat Thread!!!

I did my math in the coop a few times. That abruptly ended when a hen jumped on my knee and promptly popped into my book. For some reasoning my mom doesn't like checking poopy math. :hu I do my math next to the bator when chicks are hatching.

I should do that... Only issue then is I have two duck pens, a breeding pen and the whole flock. The thing with people around here is, they don't care what they get, and they don't want to pay premium price for purebreds when they can get mixed breed for $2-3 cheaper. I had some purebred Buff Orpington chicks I was trying to get $5.00 ape ice for and some mixed breed for $3.00, NOBODY bought the Buffs. All the mixed chic,s are gone. I will probably get a trio of Cayugas....They are like Ayam Cemani ducks.

Your ducks are so pretty, Dan. Crosses are so fun, aren't they?

Or tractors. Tractors are easier. I see. I've sold mixes for seven....:hide

Yeas, do that!

Thanks :D Lots!

Yeah, well see, my mom is really tired of broilers, so she is going to empty out 3 tractors in about 8 weeks, and guess who is stealing them...

Man, that is awesome! Ducks seem to go for more than chicks, don't they?

Got some pics of the three month olds integrating into the adult flock.

(Sorry they're so far away, I can't get closer than 20 feet to the three month olds. They'll calm down in a month or two after being with the main flock.)

Nice! The tufted Pekin who's closest in the second picture looks like it's smiling for some ransom reason.

I have a confession.....I start intergrating my chicks with the main clock at six weeks old. :hide Nobody get hurt, I just feed the younger ones separate.

Nice.

Granted that was at an auction. I think my asking price will be 5 for crest less and 6.50 for crested. I won't sell any super big crests, I can't guarantee those won't have problems and I don't want to get a bad reputation. I'll just butcher those.

They do go for more.
