Every wednesday night we have a summer kids program thingey at chirch. Right before we left yesterday I noticed Batgirl (3 y/o bsl from our first flock) was wriggling her neck around a bunch. I've noticed they tend to do that after they've gorged themselves on dry food and they need some water, but this was different... Harder and longer than I've ever noticed before. :/ Crop issue. First ever in four years of chicken keeping.

I ran out and put her in a cage with only water and told her I loved her. All I could really do right then. I prayed the crap out of myself the whole way to church. When we got home she was breathing REALLY loudly. Like she had all kinds of crap and snot in her throat. I told dad I wanted him to cull her and two other older girls before they got sick.
I went out this morning and she wasn't in her cage. I figured dad had sent her to heaven before we woke up. But he said she was acting fine, so he had let her out.

"Well of course, how would you tell the difference?"

GUYS, SHE'S FINE.

Like, her breathing is perfect, her eyes are tired, but bright, she ate this morning, she was oin the nestbox when I found her.

Thanks Yeah one of the tomato plants is doing amazing, the other ones are doing... Okay.
I'm glad Daffy's a boy I see ducklings in my future.

I've never heard if it I need to look it up. There are a few plants that are very.... Thorny. They hurt so bad.

Take some duck water and water them with that instead of regular water. It doesn't burn the plants, the poo is already so diluted that unless given in very large amounts it's pretty much harmless and it's super good for plants. Lol, they're addicting alright. Ok, I thought so but wasn't sure. You should recognize it if you look it up, once it's stabbed you there's no mistaking it.

Yeah, me too. My pool is about 60 or 70 gallons. I usually clean it at least once a week but I haven't had a chance to in awhile. :/

Wow, you have a lot of duck water Oh, I bet it's hard to get everything done when you have that many animals
