I really don't understand how there are registered cross bred cows. Isn't the point of registering something to prove that it is indeed pure?

I really don't know if these pictures are any good. The first two hatched Saturday and those pics were taken yesterday. Third one hatched yesterday. Be just my luck if all three are boys. I guess I'd keep the rose comb then.
