Hello. I've been wanting to raise my own chickens for eggs since I was a kid. Finally took the plunge and ordered day old chicks through the mail. My baby Rhode Island Reds are 4 weeks old today. And it has been the most rewarding month ever. I'm going to love raising chickens :)

I've had (and have) RIR girls in my mixed flock and think they're great...good layers and lots of spunk. Sounds like you're enjoying your flock a lot, have fun!
