I would have to agree on boy

Judging off what I have noticed with mine, the boys get the solid color on the top of the wings.

The thing is that i have NEVER heard a crow.. barely even a sound out of..him? ..... But he does sound like he is hooked up to an breathing tube

He doesn't seem sick, but is fairly light weight. He's been like that ever since I've had him, but can't seem to figure out the problem..
Sorry some of the pics. are blurry casue they had to be zoomed in.

This is it eating beside a 10mnth RSL and a white chantecler of the same age.

Without a doubt, roo

Handsome young man at that!

Edited to explain: His hackles and saddle feathers give it away along with his short, undeveloped tail. He will grow a nice tail soon! His saddle feathers are very pointed and pointing downward.
I have a 5 month old, possibly a tad older, and he doesn't crow yet either. He is a very sweet thing. His name is Huey

His color is still light-looks like he's got some hatchery stock in there...they are usually lighter.Your wanting Burgundy Red but he will make a nice gentleman roo for your ladies..they are very easy to live with people and hens.My JR roo didn't crow at all until my Main (aviator) roo died and he took over the flock..it was so funny the first time he tried it was a silent crow..we laughed at him-couldn't help it then he answered back..now he's got it down very well...He's only 8 months though same age as my other boy was.
Don't change his name..it's his name.Girls are named boys names every day so what's wrong with a girl name for a boy...says the person with a huge white rooster named Cloey
