I ordered 25 "Cinnamon Queens" from a hatchery. When I asked what they were breeding to get their CQ's, they told me a RIR hen and a ISA brown rooster. Are these considered actual CQ's? I've never heard of those used to get a CQ.

No. A cinnamon queen is just a 'brand name' red sex link from a hatchery. Generally they are made by crossing a rhode island red male with rhode island white females to produce sex linked chicks that can be told apart at hatch by their down color.

An "Isa Brown" is a red sex link too, so the rooster they are using is a red sex link rooster. That over a rhode island red hen will NOT produce sex linked chicks.

A CQ is a hybrid and most likely made up of whatever the hatchery uses to make red sexlinked fowl.

No, you would not be getting Cinnamon Queens from that pairing. Cinnamon Queens are just a brand name for red sexlinks. To produce a red sexlink, you need to have a SILVER hen and a RED rooster. It won't work the other way around.
