Bolth are true. Chickens have bin known to lay an egg that has a fully formed egg with a shell inside. Chicken are able to see full colors better than a human.

Chicken are able to see full colors better than a human.

Chickens are able to see UV as well as the traditional 'light' spectrum and because of that I would argue they don't see colors as well as humans...

Left is what a human and chicken sees as visible light, middle is the additional UV spectrum a chicken sees as well, and the right is an estimate of how chickens see... As you can see the ability to see UV distorts the visible light spectrum and the visible light colors...

As stated, true when it's 'killed' it is in fact no longer alive... But, if you are implying that when a chickens head is cut off and running around it's not alive, it's not black and white... Most of a chickens basic body functions are controlled by the brain stem not the brain itself, thus one could argue that even after beheading they are in fact still alive until they finally bleed out... Google 'Mike the Headless Chicken' who lived an almost normal life for 18 months after being decapitated as an example...
