Trust Issues

I have a male pekin duck, and he just lost all the other ducks in the flock and now he's the only one left. He seems very lonely, I'm trying to give him some company, but at the moment he's avoiding me. How can I earn his trust? My parents say to spend time with him.... How do you spend time with a duck? Does anybody have any idea and what I can do to earn his trust? That's what I mostly want now is for him to trust me, then I can start trying to build my friendship.

That's pretty much it.
But unless you're around all the time I think he'll still be lonely. Consider getting another duck or three. Since he's a drake either get one more male or maybe two females. Don't want him to over-love just one girl.
