Trying a mereks cure

I would have a hard time trusting a vet that is throwing around such a serious disease diagnosis as marek's without it being confirmed through testing. I also agree that vitamin deficiencies are often seen throughout a flock because your flock is eating the same feed and will therefore be missing the same nutrients. I'm curious are you feeding a whole grain feed? Also something as simple as a piece of feed that was laying on the ground and got moldy then eaten can cause botulism.

I’m not sure if it’s whole grain, it’s the Alaska mill and feed brand, corn and soy free, it could be but I’ve also have hens who have like, calcium deposits on the eggs and such but with this weather maybe?
The vet just said it looked like Mereks which she’s had many cases of that year

Thank you guys for all the help, I’m feeling more confident that it is not Mereks, none of my other birds have any symptoms and with reaper recovering quickly I think that might mean it’s almost over for good

Reaper is fully recovered! Her muscles are obviously a bit off so she’s taking everything slow but she has no limp or hobble anymore, she’s been standing and grooming for hours on end and is back to singing along to every song she likes!
She can’t wait to get back outside.
Still annoyed from her bath though 😂 she was covered in egg.

I also learned she likes cucumber but not turkey

Reaper is now outside and very happy to be, Kia herded her back into the flock and Dill, who lost her friend ghost, went over to here very excited looking and stayed next to her for awhile! While my rooster Kia keeps trying to feed Reaper treats Yeti keeps stealing them.
I let her decide if she wanted to go out or not, Reaper has never run before from what I’ve seen, due to her hair she can’t see well so she always walks cautiously but she was very hurriedly going out the door to the flock

What were you giving her along with apple cider vinegar? I was trying to find the post where you mentioned the holistic approach. thank you!

Apple cider vinegar, 30x hypericum drops on the roof of her mouth and in her water along with basic chicken probiotics. When it happened again I put VetRx in her water and it seemed to help a little bit(she started to have respiratory issues)
