You know, I can see what you mean. It doesn't matter to me,...other than the fact that I was sold something other than what I was told,...but they are both beautiful!

Yours are definitely partridge. Some colors have drastically different colorings on males and females, making them easy to tell apart. Partridge cochin female:

This makes it obvious that you have females.

They look nice sized, but it's difficult to say.
English Orps are a fair bit tubbier than American Orpingtons.
