Well I have a bantie mutt that I got when my chicks were 4 weeks old. She went broody as soon as I got her, and my friend said she just to lay alot before.

I took the eggs I had under her away, and ever sence he hasnt been sitting

, but she thinks that the ten 7 week old red sex links are hers

.

She follows them around and they all sleep together at night. Shes being a good mommy.

But there 7 weeks old and they can fend for themselfs. I mean there almost as big as her. Should I try keeping her in my tractor away from them for a while? She has been eatting the chick starter, beacuse I couldnt seperate there feeds.

When will she break out of this and start laying again???

When I take her away she gets mad and trys to break out to get back to the chicks

Help

I don't think I would try to get her to stop mothering the chicks. You're trying to fight hormones, and it would just stress her. I can't believe she will stay with it much longer.

Ok so she should stop soon? And I got some week old chicks should I put her with them and let her raise them?
