Trying to Clean House

Cleaned my refrigerator this morning. I'd like to find out who keeps spilling stuff in there! Those glass shelves drive me nuts!

This would be the perfect time to defrost my big freezers since it's so cold outside now, but it's really cold in the basement and I haven't left the general area of my woodstove for the past few days... I really hate that job but maybe I'll get my gloves and boots and go down there and tackle it

Hm, I'll have to try Finish. I usually use Cascade, but it doesn't always do the best job and I end up rewashing a couple things in the sink from every load. Do you have well water?

Not anymore, we had to go to public. But get the GEL type finish, I think they are even better! Watch for coupons too, and last box I got was a double size (it was the hard biscuit type with the red ball in the center, but I think they still do pretty darn good!) for the price of the small box. I only use my dishwasher every other day. . .if its just the 3 of us, we just don't dirty up a lot of stuff. . .but I still LOVE my dw!!!!

i know what ya mean! I have those glass shelves too. Good idea about freezers. Never thought about the advantages of doing it in winter.

My laundry is backing up since I havent had the stove going, and I hate going downstairs there and getting chilled

Remember the cleaning whiz lady, Heloise? My mom loved her, and did a lot of her tips, which are very similar to Flylady. My fridge is a mess and I saw where someone had messed in the microwave again . . .why can't they cover their bowls, or at least WIPE up what they run over . . .I boil water in it, (I am careful, don't know if it was true or not, but they say if you boil water in a microwave it doesn't bubble up like stove top does, and it can blow up and hit you when you take it out. So I always keep it away from my face) and then wipe it out really good. That is on my tomorrow list. I work at the office on Wed., and I don't do nuttin' when I get home!!!! I am also going to rearrange my pantry, thought it was huge when hubby built it, and that turned out to be wrong!!!!! I need twice or three times what I have!!!

Hi everyone! I have the day off today and have done nothing but outside chores and chicken baths! But boy did Charlie ever love the bath and the "feather styling" afterword! He is napping now--guess it wore him out! OK I REALLY am going back outside to clean stalls now...work is never done...even when I have the day off! Terri O in WI

She couldn't stop thanking us. NOW, she can see and use her kitchen countertops, and the microwave has been moved from a countertop to new table. The scuzz in the bathroom and tub is ALL GONE! Emptied 7 big bags of garbage to the dumpster. Swept everywhere with my good Electrolux. Took her shopping for necessities and a brand new set of dishes (promised to her from GM), so she can stay home today, on her day off, and ENJOY her clean digs, during the snowstorm we're having in Central Illinois.

I cleaned my fridge the other day...it was not pleasant! I can never tell how dirty it is until I clean it. Then I stand back and say 'Oh, you're supposed to be able to see through the glass shelves! Who knew!?"

That's a really nice thing to do!

I have a daughter like that, she's working tons of hours lately so the house keeping suffers. I won't clean up though, she wouldn't like me in her apartment "snooping".
