I am having so much fun with my 27 new girls. They are out in their run, scratching in the dirt and roosting on their roosts. Could anyone help me identify their breeds? They are from the rainbow mix from McMurrary. Also they all look great except 3 who seem fine except for having bald necks. Is this something I need to or can do anything about?

Probably a White Leghorn or a White Rock. If it is a White Rock, then it is a cockerel, not a pullet.
Silver Laced Wyandotte
Looks like a Dark Cornish
Buff Orpington
Could be lots of black breeds (which all look similar as chicks), but is probably a Black Australorp.
Silver Spangled Hamburg
Not sure.
Partridge Naked Neck. It is also looking somewhat cockerel-ish. The naked neck is a defining trademark of the breed, and is nothing to worry about.

Thanks for all your help. I'm feeling like I know them better now that I can identify their breeds. When will I be able to know for sure if they are cockerels? I'll have to get rid of them, bummer. Glad the naked necks are the breed and nothing's wrong with them.
