trying to declutter....

I'm a paper pack rat. Keep stuff, especially medical, and bills because I'm never sure if it might be needed. However, with the kids stuff, I keep the stuff that i think they'll want to look through when they're grown, and stack it in a box downstairs. I'll let them have a heave-ho party when they're older. My MIL keeps the stuff the kids give her in a notebook. She's filled one, and is working on the second.

Hopefully "downstairs" doesn't mean it is in risk of experiencing flood waters . . .

And I will keep these things until my kids have their own kids as that is when they will "get it" .For now I try to be the appreciateive "grammy" as I am old enough to be their granmother. lol

Got after the out side stuff again today... Time is running out this summer and anything that's still there when it snows will be stuck there until next spring! There's another load ready to go to the dump and hopefully we'll get more next weekend. I took pictures at the beginning of the summer so I didn't forget where we started. Would be a bit embarrassed to post before and after pictures but, we've come along way :)

Ha. My SIL told me last week that I had to clean up the side yard by the coop. A lot of bags of compost, dirt, etc. It shows from the street so we got a lot accomplished and it looks good. My Mama died 3 years ago and we had hundreds of things in her 3 storerooms to throw out. Classic hoarder. I take after her but I'm not as bad. My DD keeps an eye on me.

It is amazing looking back at the pictures I keep forgetting it really was THAT BAD! We're on our second grain truck load this summer, that brings it up tooooooo 4 loads with the 2 tonn now and a couple at least with the pick up... Ugh! Probably 1 or 2 more and it will be done... NEVER in my life will I let this place collect junk like this again!
Inside isn't bad, but it's hard to keep up with dishes when you're hauling junk out of the yard. Dishes are going now though and laundry tomorrow.
