Finally got my girls in their new home... 24'x100' run, with an 8x12 house... maybe an overkill for 7 chickens, but I want them happy

They are definitely Happy!
Room to expand if need to I’d say.

Definitely not a Barred Rock. I also think Cuckoo Marans. Not french though, no leg feathers. Coloring is pretty dark to be male, but the redness says it is. My best guess is you have an older pullet than you thought, or it’s a boy.

Where and when did you get him/her? Is there any possibility it’s a cross breed?

I got them all at rural king... the lady said people pick them up and might put them back in a different box, so she didn't guarantee what kind, but I got them on mother's day and they were brand new babies then.
