Hi-- I found you through google, while trying to find someone in the greater Denver area (Jefferson Co.) Colorado who is missing a charming little rooster. I picked him up from the animal shelter yesterday; he'd been there 6 weeks, and was the mascot of all the shelter workers.
He appears to be a White Bantam Cochin (maybe with a frizzle), so fancy I figured someone might be missing him. He is much smaller than my 3 roosters (and my hens too), so I don't know if I'll be able to blend him in or not.
But I can't find a "lost and found" forum here! Can anyone help?
Anyway, we've been raising chickens, mostly medium weight breeds, for 13 years now, and enjoy them immensely. We have barred rocks, ameracanas, wyandottes, australorps, buff orps, just a wild assortment... total of 20 now (not counting Mr. Rooster, who may just be visiting if an owner turns up)... We're now running an old age home for hens (no, not the original ones)... but still enjoying the eggs.
Looks like a nice place to hang out here... thanks for all the work you do to keep it going!
