Trying to locate some pullets or chicks

I'd be concerned how they would tolerate being confined to a run after free ranging, particularly with Leghorns which are great foragers.

I'm in St. Johnsbury,Vt and will be hatching out Buff Orpingtons late next week. I will also be in White River Junction about the third week of Dec...the chicks would be about a month old....they'd need to be in a brooder forva few more weeks but you'll have eggs in early spring. PM me if interested.

Thank you. I am planning to dust the whole coop and run with DE just to be on the safe side. I was thinking that if they are healthy looking then I might go for it. They are located on a farm. As for egg color, it does not matter to me. It's what is on the inside that counts.
I think my DH wants to get something fancy for birds, but I am just wanting something that will be ok with confinement while I am at work and will stand the cold winters well. That is why I am only looking for three birds. I want them to have at least a little room to stretch their wings while confined. I don't want them pecking at each other from boredom.
