Well I posted another thread about how I figured a way to keep all my girls and boys and still be allowed to have ducklings - and thats starting CKC mutts. My little duckie business with selling , trading, and rehoming ducks of all ages - but mostly my ducklings. I will have about 30 ducklings by july 25th from my two nests. Ive already got one lady interested in some , and the ones I dont keep I am selling.

Problem is - I dont want to upset my broodies. I have a buff who is an amazing mama and very protective. More than likely Im going to keep some of her really pretty white babies and then if I keep any more they will be from my magpie - I cant wait to see what colors I get!

So , depending on how many I keep around - should I split them between the moms or leave them with their original mom? Like I might only keep two from my buff butt five from my magpie. Im worried my buff might "borrow" some babies and im not sure how good a mom my magpie will be since this is her first nest.

"ckc mutts"? are you just being funny or is that an actual thing other than what I know about continental kennel club with dogs

I wish I could help you with your question though but im deffinatly not an expert there. If it was ME. I'd probably just let each mama keep their own babies that you don't take and if they swip and swap just make sure everyones okay
