If you like you should go for it. I think it would be great. I wish I could by myself a little farm for that price over here, around here farms cost $500,000 or more.

We paid $35,000 just for our 5 acres without a house. Heck, this is cheaper than a CAR payment...and it gets better gas mileage!!!

Maybe it doesn't matter, but doesn't HWY = highway?... highway location?? If it's right for you guys go for it!! I can't imagine getting 5 acres for that price. Honestly, I didn't think you could! You may not find a diamond in the rough again... That's how we got our farm. Moved from 2 acres to 18... Ahhhhh it felt SO good! Before we got the call about this place, we were starting to think we wouldn't be able to find anything worth taking a second look at, let alone buy in our price range!!

we re looking at houses now too, dh doesnt like anything i do.. lol. i found a 5acre house with 4bd 2 bath, less than 100k. no way he says, its too old, built 1900.... well duh i say its a FARM house! lol. i mean we lived in a house built in 1950, by his own family no less, and geez! that WAS a shack, no heat even!!! (the last tenants had blown up the woodstove, dear cousin refused to replace it) anyways.... now hes talking about having one built... lol. men!

use this for an arguement, you can always RENT the old house to Pay for the new one, and Still have money coming in... its an "investment" lol, hire a realtor if you dont want the bother of tenants.

There are a couple of 'lots with homes' for sale here on my road. Each has a huge farm house and 100 acres. Last I heard, the seller was asking $100,000 each

we viewed our 8 acres 5 times before my dad even knew he was going to make an offer. We brought him once, he made an offer, we moved and that place is a steal! ...
