TSC “Orpington”? Or what is she? 🤷‍♀️

I thank TSC for always having the wrong breeds. I have a speckled Sussex that was supposed to be brown leghorn... I glad it was a speckled Sussex! I've always wanted d'uccles and I got some that were "assored bantams" and they were really porcelain and mile flour d'uccles!

Wow! I’m glad you got free upgrades with the Speckled Sussex (really want one of these) and the Mille fluer d’uccles. I rescued a young d’uccles for $5 at the feed store. He was beautiful but just so “extra”. Wanted to sleep in the garage, only wanted chick starter and was my only free range chicken who would wander off the 9 acres by himself! I’d hear him crow in the woods and we’d have to go get him. 😆🤪

Haha my polish roo is like an acrobat. My frizzle roo which is out of my polish did a back flip and landed on his feet the other day!
Oh my! I hope you get videos of them. Is there a way to post videos on this forum?
I have a black and white Hoodan that’s quite entertaining. I named him Harry Hoodan after my teen son who had the same long bangs over the eyes hairstyle. 🤣
I also have a young rust and black roo that sports a Mohawk, a black frizzle pullet and white silkie hen. My other poultry are regular TSC breeds. 😉

Beware, they are weak. I lost all of my polishes due to being sick.
Why is this? I actually bought 6 polish bantams and one survived. Went back for three more and they died within hours. I noticed one of my chicks was missing a toe claw. About a week later she started walking around in circles and wandering from the others like she was blind. She was chirping but wouldn’t eat or drink. I made sure she was warm but she died about three hours after this very strange behavior.

I know, I wonder why. I got 8 of them.I only have one left.

When you breed and hatch your own polishes, their much more apt to do well and thrive. It's weird. That's hilarious about your little d'uccle! He sounds so cute! And yes it's normal for them to start crowing so early. That's my bantam phoenix's favorite thing to do.
