That’s a fair point! I was terrorized by a rooster as a kid, and I have a baby so honestly that’s my number one reason for only wanting hens, at least to start off with. Do you need fo worry about numbers of Roo’s to hens with chickens? Maybe it would be okay, I’m just so very scared of them terrorizing my childWhy not? Depending on the kind of bantam, and the number of hens vs Roos, they can be great. Especially when they grow up together. And they will protect your little hens, find them food, and keep the peace. I have Japanese bantams, and I have Cochin bantams, and I think that you will be missing out of you don’t want Roos lol.
