got the tan and yellow ones out of the pullet bin and got the white ones out of the straight run.. im thinking the all white ones are white rocks....
they were tierd i had just got them back home and i woke them up to put them in the brooder

Yeah, hate to break it to you, but they are probably red sex links... Sometimes they favor ISA browns.

The yellows are roos, and the reds are pullets.

(I found this out the hard way last year).
 
I was told by a hatchery that "Easter Chicken" bins such as straight runs... well, those tend to get more of the roosters than not, being that people ordering directly from the hatchery tend to ask for just pullets. I really like walking into TSC to look at the chicks, but I've had much better luck going to a true* feed store or direct with the hatchery for my straight runs.


*Please don't take this to mean I think less of TSC... I just have two really really good feed stores that I go to that actually know about chickens and make an effort to get a good variety of chicks... I think a farm store that doesn't know what kind of chickens it is selling means it doesn't take a interest in why the patrons are coming into their store.
 
i understand but my local southern states is full of RUDE people. so tsc is my only local choice. and they are all real nice theyre. so i just firgured a hatchery wouldnt send all roosters what a shame
