TSC Chicks!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....

I just bought six chicks from tractor supply co. and I got 3 golden comets and 3 red pullets... I noticed at the store that many breeds were listed as Golden comets and they came in a veriety of shapes and colors... So does this mean i can end up with something other then a whitish red, orange hen or just 3 of those. PLEASE HELP IM NEW AT THIS!!!

! Great to have you with us! Going out on a limb here I think Golden Comets are also sometimes called Red Stars, or Cinnamon Queens, and other names. I am not the person to ask if there is a true difference but that explain the slight color variations. Bottom line is this - they are going to grow up to be great chickens!

That helps soooooo much I didn't here that red stars are also golden comets... and thanks for welcoming me!!! However... one of the chickens on the sign looked like a barred rock that's what really threw me off!
