I love my Saxony! She’s so sweet and gentle. We call her Lonesome because her husband was killed by a wandering dog and my Magpie ducks still have not fully accepted her into their club after more than half a year. I’m happy that she has babies and will no longer be lonely.Looks like 2 black Swedish not sure on the other one @KathiQuacks is good with breeds. Definitely 2 Black Swedish. Those Golden-mallard-looking ducklings always trip me up. I want to say Golden Cascade, but not sure how many TSC carry them.My sweet Saxony went broody and has been sitting on eggs that keep going bad because her Magpie pen-mates keep kicking her off the nest to sit for 5-10 minutes before they get bored. I got her some ducklings at TSC today so that she can have babies. She keeps trying to steal the chicks my hen hatched and she’s getting pecked every time (good hen momma).
What breeds of duck do you think I have? Two are black with yellow chest and one is yellow and brown with eyeliner and pattern on the back. Thank you!
I tried last year to give 2 of my Muscovy females ducklings and neither would take them they would have rather sit on nothing. It's so precious that your Saxony did and she looks so content.I love my Saxony! She’s so sweet and gentle.
