That comb shouldn’t be that visible at all at that age for a female. It’s a male.

They actuallly had a whole bunch of their butts and wings sprayed purple...they told me to help with growth. I'd never seen that. But ok.

Sprayed purple?! Sounds to me like they were sprayed with blue kote... which you use to keep other chickens from pecking a wound, and treat infection. Sounds like there was an injury...
but I would agree, probably hatchery quality buff orpington cockerel.
