TSC incubators ok?

~*B*~ :

how do you install a pc fan on it?

Simple are you hand turning or auto ?

If you are hand turning all you have to to is sit the fan on the wire floor, the run the cord out through the hole where the auto turners cord would go. and then you plug it in, no installation required.

I do not know what a pc fan looks like .. would there be a chance that water could get into the fan? being that there is only a screen between the fan and water.....

an accidental bump could do it..??

Here is some pics of my small fan in a LG.

hobbieorb, your fan appears to be mounted to the upper lid.. OK.

but the other poster said to set it on the wire screen.. what voltage is it? yours looks like it is wired outside of the lid.

I have one of those same incubators. Mine works great. Once you get the temp right it works great. I dont have to babysit mine. It stays pretty much right on. It is tricky getting the temp right. You need to turn it on WAY before you put eggs in to make sure your temp is steady. Remember after you put the eggs in the temp will be lower until the eggs come to temp. I have found that the more eggs in the bator the better it does. I do like the idea of getting one of those fans...Ill have to look into that.

Today 8:40 pm I'm thinking about getting one of these.. but... I have a 16 lb cat.. Is this incubator perhaps too fragile to share the house with a big kitty?

Thanks!

Its fine....I have a 3 year old...and she is way worse than a cat

Well, my cat actually does listen when I tell him no.. but there's no telling what he'll do when I'm sleeping.. I think he might be a little too interested in the moving parts (if I get a turner) and viewing window

but I suppose I could work around that..
Whenever he hears the printer he comes running so that he can watch the pages come out

I just bought one and currently use it to hatch. I have a Hovabator with a turner and on day 18 move them to the LG, then I fill the Hovabator back up.
