Anyone use the live traps they sell at TSC? I see they sell a large and small combo pack for $34.

Read the reviews that they are cheaply made like the havaharts sold at home depot. Some love them. I did use the homedepot one to catch 2 groundhogs. Just added zip ties to the back door to secure it.My mom has that one,so I was looking to get something for big critters and the small for rabbits and squirrels.

Of course like so much stuff manufactured today these traps are not as tuff as the original Hava-heart traps. I have a Hava-heart trap that I bought as a kid probably back in the late 50's or early 60's that has caught countless small animals and still works just as well! The new ones are a little flimsy and are fine for most critters. Don't want to leave a 'coon in them for too long as they are surprisingly strong for their size and can damage these traps.

I am on 2 years on my tsc combo trap. I have caught most small predators in them. They are a CHEAP quick fix but they don't last as long as a good have-a-hart trap. I did spend over $50 on a hav-a-hart trap at Academy sports. If you get the Academy credit card they give you a $15. discount on your first purchase and it brings the cost down to TSC trap price. This was the cheapest way i have found to get this quality trap.

I have had those traps as well. Some predators were far too large for those traps and I'd have to go hunting for the trap in the morning cuz the critters would drag it away. So hubby built me a trap large enough to catch anything. Check out my sig. line for the trap link.

Hav-A-Hart is still in business and as far as I know making their traps in the USA. My preference would be those.

But, any of these traps used right and cared for should work well for a long time.

We find ours at garage sales, frankly.

Chicks4Kidsd that's one heck of a trap!
