I work at a TSC store and the in store minimum in PA is 6. If you special order it is 25, you can have numerous breeds but you must order at least 5 of each. I got mine in on Sunday and they are doing wonderful!
I don't know what the minimum chick limit in Commerce, GA is as they did not have any in the two trips I made (over the course of a week)... from what I gather they're not getting anymore either, as the woman told me Sunday this would be their last bunch of bunnies (there were still a few bunnies left Sunday).
I'm guessing they also have a minimum limit since they keep selling out very quickly.
Yes they sell out very quickly. They get a predetermined amount and sell out usually within the day (at our store anyway). Most of the TSC stores will be keeping the bunnies through Easter but they are supplied by local breeders and when they are out of babies they are out.
Going in with numerous buyers on a special order (minimum is 25) is great because you can choose the breeds that you want more so than in the store.
ams3651...why would you say to not purchase from TSC. It is a TSC policy to deter people who were just buying them for their kids for Easter and letting them die afterward. It is an attempt to make sure they are being sold for agricultural purposes rather than someone's "on a whim" decision to buy 2 for their kids and decide what to do with them later. I think it is great for TSC to do something for the sake of the animals even though they will lose customers over the policy!
ok so I understand its to deter people from picking one up for easter and getting bored and abandoning it. What if you only want to purchase 3 or 4 but have to buy 6, what will SOME people do with the others? Same thing? There has to be another way to accomplish the same thing a better way. If my eggs dont hatch I will HAVE to buy some where else, I have no room for 6 more.
