I have asked permission to make a thread on these birds who are not mine, just because I'm very curious to see if anyone else has ever gotten chicks with this appearance from TSC before. I've seen some chicks on here with fibromelanosis with non-silked feathers with single combs and a Bantam Cochin look. I assumed it was an attempt at a Satin. I have never seen one with this many Silkie traits. I also think the dominant white is interesting along with the uniformity of color, single combs, and that they appear to only have four toes. I think the one is the first paint bantams I've seen out of TSC. Definitely curious to see if anyone else has any similar birds or have a differing opinion! I personally am betting that Hoover's (who frequently supplies for TSC) will release this as a new "breed" next year ;) @Overo Mare, I figure you'll find this interesting!

Looks a lot like my silkie/leghorn crosses from earlier this year. Dominant white from the leghorn parent, rest of the features from the silkie parent. Wonder what the purpose of doing this kind of cross is from the hatcheries side? 🤔
That's a good point... Maybe boosting egg production too. Definitely curious when they officially release the mix! They are very cute little things
