Tsc speckled sussex "pullet"...I think not...😣

I got 4 speckled sussex "pullets" out of the bin at TDC. They are roughly 4 weeks old. Everybody looks great! Then I was gone for 3 days and this little fellow sprouted a comb! Maybe, just maybe, an early developing pullet??? I'm not hopeful..

That's a lot of comb for that age. Probably a cockerel, but not absolutely definite yet.

Sad thing is, I don't think I can keep him. He would make my 5th rooster and my flock just isn't big enough for that many

That's a bummer, but you could either try to rehome him or process him for dinner, if that's your thing.

I know the feeling, I have 8.
