TSC swap in Augusta, maine civic center drive on saturday, april 30th

I added this to the first page as well
set up time 9:00- until 2:00 is usually when these run, the store didn't really care when.

I have contacted craigslist and posted this. cowboy is making a sign that I will paint.
what do we want on it? my thought was the fewer the words the better.

poultry swap
today

any other ideas?
tsc said we could have the sign up only on the day of the swap not prior.

I have a question is this swap only poultry ? I know someone who works at a TSC and said these were farm days . If you can bring more then poultry to sell I would make the sign show that too -- farm swap or farm day ? Just a suggestion . ~~ Tammy

they have some swaps that are farm days and some that are poultry swaps. I'm not sure this is farm day. I had heard poultry swap which are not always the same day. Poultry swaps last yr were like once/month and farm days were on a different day but could contain poultry as well as piglets etc.
maybe we will get a consenus and then paint the sign. or maybe we could have a plank that covers "poultry" and says "farm" so the same sign could be used by covering or uncovering the correct swap.

Either way sounds great just wanted to make sure no one was left out . I don't think I'll be selling anything on the 30th . I'm going to grow a few out and wait for lewiston. I just had 48 silkies hatch and over 40 LG fowl . I will have a few silkies for sale in a couple of weeks you can pm or email me at [email protected] if your looking for silkies . ~~ Tammy

What they allowed last year for the poultry swaps was small stuff, like Rabbits, pigeons, poutlry etc. Just no large stuff like pigs, horses, etc. that was on their farm days. Haven't seen anything for farm days. What I heard is the girl that was doing it last year is no longer working there. Plus the poultry ones were on Sundays. Farm days were on Saturdays, so they may be considering this a farm days one?

Great!! A sign sure will help. Would be more involved with this one but not sure what we are doing yet

My husband went there to get grain last week and he said he didn't see anything inside the store listing it, may have he just missed it too, that would not suprise me at all

did it say what time?

Nope. Just That there was a swap saturday the 30th, and a nail trimming clinic some other day ( wasn't paying too much attention as I headed straight for the chicks/ducklings to see what they had.) They have been going so fast this year, we keep traveling to 4 stores around the state, and they never have quite what I'm looking for, or they keep selling out really quick.

well what are you looking for? I'm going to be hatching a large mixed group of purebreds, maybe I will have something you want.

We may be able to stop in early.

Have a couple of Royal Palm Hen Turkeys that are a little over 2 years old, starting to lay great. Not going to keep any of the Turkey's. Can pick up before or can bring them.

Also a couple pairs of showgirls, males are white and the hens are partridge.

Will probably have adult call ducks too, getting out of them.

Buff Faverolle Chicks
Silkie Chicks
Chicks mostly all feathered, but still need warmth.

Pairs of quail d'anvers. Also have extra males on these.
Couple of self blue d'anvers males.

Really nice group of Fantail pigeons, getting out of that breed.

Any of these can be picked up before too, we can meet to help with gas expenses. Can do group deals, really need to cut down on some of these guys going to redo all the pens and make new after all the attacks.
