Oh my, it's uncanny how much your Tucker looks like my Tucker!! This pic is too cute and something MY Tucker would do!! I had my boy fixed in Aug. and had to run back to the vet to get a cone!! I only had to use it for two or three days. I didn't keep it on him all the time, just when he would start his madness with the licking. My boy gets into trouble all the time!! I'm into 3 nice scatter rugs in the foyer cause he likes to chew on the edges!!! Plus he ate a hole in my dining room wall!!! Licked it to death!!!!! Forget about african violets being on tall tables close to the chairs he sits in and he just started on an airplane plant I brought in for winter! lol I keep peanut butter hidden in the middle of his beef bones to keep him occupied.

I cannot believe you are talking about by sweet little Tucker that way! LOL He seemed so laid back when we were puppysitting him. What a sweet little devil. I also cannot get over the resemblance of the two Tuckers. Although the WV Tucker is a bit more Spaniel-y. Just uncanny.

well the good thing is he won't bleed to death if he pulls the stitches out. If you have to take him back to the vet ask for staples, they seem to leave them alone a little better. I've had a couple that pulled stitches or worried them loose, never a fun thing to deal with.

Please post a picture of your Tucker. Yeah - I have to keep getting on Sparky about eating my airplane/spider plant I brought in. I already cut all the baby plants off of it.

Haha funny picture!!!

I tried tobasco sauce, and hot peppers... my dog ended up eating the stuff like candy... including the hot peppers, even though she slobbered for a while afterwards... (Think guy eating hot food and sweating... lol.)

You can try a product called "bitter apple" from petsmart... its a spray and just put it in the area, I wouldn't spray it directly on the wound though, that should keep him from licking it.

Tuffoldhen posted a current photo of Tucker under your other thread with the photos of all three of your boys. But this is my favorite picture of Tucker. That is my son Christopher (who fell in love with Tucker while we were puppysitting) holding him for the last time...

I remember - you got him from a rescue..He is my Tucker's doppleganger...

Tried the tobasco sauce. He totally wigged out.

I looked closer at the "wound" I think they glued it, I don't see the traditional stitches.

So I ended up putting his collar through the loops instead of the gauze. Problem seems fixed for now and I am back on the "mommy doesn't love me" list.

ETA: Weird that we both named our dogs Tucker - maybe I saw the name on here and it just lodged in my brain...
