However, it is possible that wild birds can access your hen's nesting area and lay their own eggs there, which can lead to cross-breeding.

I was really hoping it was an April Fools gag and not a real implementation.
While she provides good information, there's a lack of walk-you-through the process and learned experience or opinion that's most situations call for.
And I also noticed yesterday that a large percentage of bycers were too busy playing with the new 'toy' to help any new threads.

Like, she has potential but for now, she might make a decent auto pilot for threads posted at off hours.
Atleast she give usually correct forum available info and not the average Google answer.
I do agree but i think after a while people will become less excited sense this is a new thing. I can also picture this ruining BYC in a way so maybe keeping her in her own thread and limiting when she is available will reduce this problem.

I think maybe making it a rule on the thread not to use her for a gag and only actual questions? Yes, i’m totally guilty of asking gibberish questions but i think it is pointless to have her there forever just for goofy questions to be asked.

But like, what harm do silly questions do?

I kind of picture this becoming a problem with some, imagine Tudy does provide wrong information. Then people will have a hard time justifying their knowledge on the matter is correct and not the robots because many will side with AI.

Also, just a thought, maybe keeping Tudy as a welcome bot, explaining how BYC works and thats all? I think that would be good for new members who need to learn their way around the site, no goofy questions and no emergencies (Incase there are errors with the AI)

Exactly how others were saying, they take away from the sites knowledge. People aren’t on threads helping people with emergencies or new comer threads. I just picture it being AI taken over and not everybody welcoming newcomers like before, maybe thats just me, who knows.
Well I'm sure the "toy" effect will wear off pretty soon. I think it's kinda strict to make it a rule. I think we should wait to judge a lot about her till the "new toy" effect wears off

One quick note:

*IF*
we decide to keep @TudyBOT around, a BIG question is where would she be "allowed" to be called / invited to participate?

My concern with limiting her to just her own "corner" is that we'll then run into one of my biggest gripes since creating forums 18 years ago:

Having a huge jumbled mess of topics in one "general" category! :sick

I really dislike having coop-design threads, funny chat threads, chicken emergency threads, breed questions, etc., all in one section of the forum. It makes organization, discovery, engagement, search, etc. a nightmare.

So, my inclination would be to allow @TudyBOT to be called-upon in a responsible way by ONLY those that want her to engage, in all the sections of the site. That way, if someone wants to ask her about knitting, that can be in the hobbies section. Ask her to write chicken jokes... in the games/jokes section. A quick chicken emergency help at 3am... the emergencies section.
This is what i strongly thing. Keep her a welcome bot to explain how BYC works and the function of the site. Don’t let her be allowed for emergencies or maybe even genetic questions? but to explain how the site works and the rules if people need them.

Well thats what i did say in my previous post at the start of it. I personally think it would be best for her not to be for the gag function and for other topics. Not specifically a rule for that, but maybe say something along the lines of “Try using her for BYC related questions, following BYC guidelines and more important topics”
