tufts in baby araucanas?

Halo, So you got a rockin araucana..that is way awesome..cant wait to see her full grown should be interesting..

I also have a very small tufted guy that when he was a chick I didn't know he even had tufts until he was a few days old. He still has small tufts, but they are there.

tails you can basically feel the general area and get an idea, if the coxi bone is missing your gonna have a rumpy, however rudimentary feather growth is undetectable and normally only visual after time.. you can even feel partial tailed birds to(coxi bone not complete) but at times can be difficult as well to acces...

The chick that I thought had only one tuft now clearly has one large tuft and one small.

I now have TWO araucana chicks from my own eggs!! YIPPEE!!

I have incubated **140** eggs from my own araucanas with NONE of them hatching up til now. I am THRILLED. I hope this is the beginning of a new trend!!
 
I've got 7 laying araucana hens. I've been incubating their danged eggs ALL WINTER. Almost all of em never even developed. I was hoping beyond hope that fertility might start improving as the days lengthened -- now I'm crossing my fingers that the future batches will keep improving!
