tufts in baby araucanas?

Heres a black one and you can see the tufts on the head, i'll look through my photos to see if i can find a bbr or gld

You can see the off coloring slightly on the side of the head behind the eye..

Looking at Guitarists pic the tuft is visable. It's to the left of the eye. The black chick in wilds of pa's pic is more clear

I wish I had a straight down shot.... they are easiest to see from straight above looking down because of how they stick OUT from the head.
 
Yes unless they are super super tiny..which ive had some i thought didnt have tufts and later as they grew along they sure enough had them..i never cull chicks early for that reason on araucana..

Jody, I think I showed you this picture before, but this is a olive egger baby from one of your blue aracaunas. In one of the very first batches of eggs that I got last year, you included a couple of aracaunas, and I got a really cute blue girl. I since changed breeds over and over, but kept her because she's cute and doesnt bother anyone. She's in with my blue rock roo, and I decided to hatch a few eggs just for grins. I ended up with this little black....how cute is this???

Her tufts look nice and even too. Amazing what some crosses will produce and so cute.
