That is so sad about your eggs.. but so glad you got 2 out of it! I loved reading your story. =) I've never ordered eggs before, we usually just order day old chicks from the hatchery who ships them to our feed store here.
Sorry about the roo, we have 4 at the moment, 3 months old, and 2 of them drive me crazy.

Is your little frizzle cochin roo mean? First time for us having this kind of roo and he is just Evil to our hens, but I love him.

For my single combed boys - they were red from week one. At week 4 there was no mistaking the roos!

I hope to get some more Turkens next year, so now I'll know they get big combs young. Ours were from a hen run this time, I just wasn't sure since I've never seen them before. Thank you all
