Hi,
I just got two 12 week old Turkeys who are living in my big coop with my established flock. They have a 100 X 40 foot run in which they are allowed to be in for most of the day (auto door opens at 930 and closes after dark). They seem to be getting along fine with the flock, though they aren't 100% accepted. I also have a younger flock in another coop that is about 3 months old that I haven't put into the big coop. I let this flock out into the run in the afternoons once I am home.
The turkeys have started picking on the little flock! They run over and chase them away from food or water and then don't even eat the food or drink the water! Last night they had separated one of my chickens and were chasing her around pecking at her feet to the point I had to go in and let the little chicken stand next to me while she caught her breath. I am not a delicate petal when it comes to hen pecking as I have introduced new birds and flocks to one another before, but this seems different. Any advice? Will this stop? Can I break the Turkeys of this habit?
I like the turkeys, but I love my chickens. Thanks!

Only advice I can give you is to put those turkeys in their own area away from your chickens. It is likely to get bloody and once that starts it'll be downhill from there. Butcher them out as soon as they reach size, tuck them into the freezer!
