I've just begun ranging my baby flock on about 8 week old (clearly tom) Turkey poult and some pullets with my older chicken flock. Just came across him violently trying to mount one of the hens yesterday, which I can see can be a big problem. Hes barely a teenager and bigger than they are. He gets along great with the pullets he lives with. Is this going to be an ongoing problem or could it just be related to spring fever? Anything I can do to teach him no? He has no female Turkey friends and I'm not really inclined to get any.

If you don't want to provide your turkey with turkey companions, rehome it to where it can be with other turkeys.

It is a really bad idea to raise a lone turkey poult with chicks. The imprinting causes the turkey to not be able to understand that there is a difference between it and chickens. If you continue to keep this lone turkey with your chickens, it will start killing your chickens.
