Congrats EE! This is my first time hatching turkey eggs, can't wait to see what my hatch rate will be. When I candle now all I see is the air pocket, the rest of the egg is all mass. I had 17 eggs and 4 of them turned out to non fertile, the other 13 are doing great.![]()
Dang thats great it shows so much but $60 bucks thats out of my spending limit.
I will have to stick to my L.E.D. flash light and a dark room.
For years I had been doing mine in a dark room with a flashlight, but I kept having to put it back on the charger, so I bought another flashlight, lol. What's nice about candler is that I can take it outside in the daytime and candle nest side, which makes it so much quicker when doing the duck nests that are literally everywhere right now.
FWIW, it was a present, I'm way to cheap to buy one for myself.![]()
My roommate said "if you have twenty different thermometers, you'll have twenty different readings", so I think that's normal.i have 5 turkey eggs its day 12 an i see the dark mass,a little movement, its my first time incubating so I'm nervous, that before its all done i will have killed the little birds,i hope not ,I'm care full but my temp in bator seems to fluctuate from time to time i have two thermometer both say something different,so i am just hoping that as of now i see some life that it will be OK when the hatching point comes![]()
