I live in Oklahoma and am interested in guineas to control the insects and snakes. I don't know much about them other than people keep telling me to get some for those reasons. I would like info on purchasing them. thanks!
 
My turkey eggs from Ok Carla are out wandering around pecking things.

I think Guineas are very good for insect control. I don't really like them--they tend to pester my dear sweet hens and steal their food--but they really do eat bugs. Lots of them. There is a noticeable difference in the bug level since we started having Guineas.

I can't say so clearly about snakes, but I seldom see one. I have Peacocks and Guineas and both are good to run off snakes and they must do it, because there are very few around.
