Ok, so I just bought 2 dozen fertile royal palm turkey eggs, what is different between hatching them and chiken eggs? I just set them out in my laundry room to come to room temperature, now what?

From what I read on the instructions that came with my incubator, turkey eggs take 28 days compared to the 21 days for chickens. Other than that, everything looks pretty much the same.

I'd confirm this with someone who's actually hatched out turkeys before.

i don't have the directions for my incubator anymore, so i was wondering if there were any temp/humidity differences. If it's just the length of time then i am good to go. thanks..

As far as I can see, it's just the length of time, but please confirm this with somebody who's actually hatched turkeys... IMO, actual experience is much more accurate than any instructions you can read!

I'm far from an expert here but I have my first turkey eggs
actually starting to hatch today
I had more problems with my incubator so I wasnt really
expecting any to hatch. I have temp set 99.5 to 101 and
humity was by biggest problem. I had it mostly at 35-40% for
the first 22 days then I just uped it to 68-70% after I took
the eggs out of the turner. So today is day 27 and I have
one starting to poke thru and chirping. We'll see what
happens.

Chuck
