Turkey eggs!

My turkey eggs have internally pipped. How long will it take to externally pip?

I can't tell you how long from internal to external pip, but when I hatched some back in the end of May, it took them roughly 24 hours from external pip to hatch, some a bit less, a few a few hours more, but 24 is a good average. My rouen ducks at the same time took 48 hours from external pip to hatch.

Having just gone thru this....

Mine took anywhere from 24-36 hours. I'd read all over how it would be 5-10 hours and I was in a real panic.

Turned out they just take Waaaay longer than chickens and way longer than a lot of the "expert" websites claim. Folks here kept telling me it would be all right, and it was!

I have had some pip and get out in 2 hours. It seems everyone will go fast if one hatches fast. But on average they rest about 12-18 hours before they get buzy and get out at about 24 hours. I have had some take 3 days. 3 days is not good but some make it.

I just got back from vacation and 22 little ones where waiting for me. They don't need my help.

Alright! Thank you so much! I candled them earlier and found one blue palm didn't make it.

Good thing there are 5 left! These are my first turkey babies and I am wayyyy exciteddd!

Oh! By they way I am not new here....I have another account and tried getting on here for three days and it wouldn't let me...said I had the wrong password after changing it and trying 20 different times! So, I just made another one....lol!

Here are two of them. There is a third but he isn't looking good (still under momma chicken), yolk still kinda hanging out andd he seems to have trouble peeping, but I can tell he's a fighter!
One is blue palm (he's got a grey strip down his back, and a chick sitting on him...lol)
The other was market Mottled Black but it come out yellow! I'm thinking maybe Sweetgrass since I ordered some of those as well.
They are nearly the cutest things EVERRR!

You might have that backwards. The gray stripe is most likely the sweetgrass. The yellow might be the blue palm or some type of palm.

I guess I do, the one with the stripe came out of the blue palm egg. And the one that's yellow came out of the Mottle black egg. I guess they marked them wrong. Thank you for correcting me!
