I am looking for ideas to automate my turkey feeders and waterers. I have 11 bronze Broad Breasted, and they Can be pretty overwhelming when I go in to feed them. Right now, I have a 5 gal bucket with three pvc elbows for feed Placed on some cinderblocks, and they do ok with it but I think three openings is not enough for All of them to eat as they please. Plus, being a round bucket, it has to be out in the middle of the run, which means it gets tipped over because, well, turkeys are quite possibly the clumsiest animal ever. I wonder if it is too low for them at 10 weeks of age?
the waterer if a 5 gal bucket with the little cup drinkers, and they haven’t quite got the hang of getting water from it themselves. If I fill the tiny cups they will peck at it for a while but then will empty it and look at me like, “come on, lady!” Also they keep knocking the cups to the side, because turkeys are clumsy.
