turkey fertility period

I have 2 turkey hens that are laying, so today I bought an eight to nine month tom. I released him in with the 2 hens & immediately one of the hens sat on the ground & wanted him. He treaded her almost straight away. How long before the eggs will be fertile. I want to discard the old eggs & want to know when to stop discarding them.

It will take at least a couple of days before she will lay fertilized eggs. You can verify whether or not the eggs are fertile by cracking them and examining the yolk for a bulls-eye. That way you will know when they become fertile.
