How old does a turkey need to be to tell if it is a Tom or a Hen? And how much inside room do they need as far as a "coop" goes? Last, will they rooster and live ok with chickens?

Thanks

The different varieties mature at different ages. A few things to look for, the legs will be thicker on a tom, and the tom will be larger overall. The snood will be bigger and longer on a tom. The toms will have less feathers on the head and neck.

We have always raised ours with chickens and haven't had any problems.

There are a few that are a little bigger but everything else looks the same. I didn't know if there was anything to look for to tell or not. They are very interesting little creatures that is for sure!
