Turkey habitat and flock management questions

I am building a new pen for my bourbon red turkeys but it’s not like they will stay in a pen I am worried about clipping the wings so they can’t fly because it’s their best defense against predators can I clip maybe an inch of feather or ? To limit their flight? Yet still leave them able to get away from a predator?


Also I have one turkey that picked his foot till it was bleeding and scratches his face till it swells up and advice?

How tall is the fence in your pen?

With a 10 foot fence clipping one wing will keep them in.
